Lawyers who have NOT responded to their pink Certificates of Compliance now owe a $150 late filing fee when they file their completed CLE credits. Instructions to respond are in paragraph 2 on the reverse side of the pink Certificate. If you do not have attendance records for the courses you completed, contact the sponsor to request a duplicate for your records. You are required to maintain these files for 3 years, per SC Rule 53.
LATE FILING FEESOn Mar 3, 2010, the late fee increased to $450. Lawyers delinquent at this time will have their names sent to the NH Supreme Court with a request for their suspension.
Click here for information mailed with your CertificatePINK CERTIFICATES have been sent to lawyers NOT in compliance by June 30, 2009. These lawyers have to read the reverse side of their Certificates for instructions to show their compliance and respond before October 1, 2009 to avoid late filing fees. Those who miss the deadline or file incomplete responses will be assessed the $50 late filing fee. Continued non- compliance results in additional late fees and a request to the NH Supreme Court for the lawyer's suspension from practice.
